The
Hind Report, published in 2003, called on the churches in the regions to pool
resources and establish high quality theological education and training through Regional
Training Partnerships.

The Yorkshire Trainers was established in 2005. This was an ecumenical meeting of trainers
at every level to co-ordinate and develop training events across Yorkshire.

From 2006 the RTP Enabling Group worked to develop structures for a joined up approach,
including dividing the Northern Ordination Course and launching the Yorkshire
Ministry Course at the heart of pre and post-ordination training.

This culminated in the signing of a covenant by the church leaders and training
institutions on 19th January 2008
